The Old BrewDog Space at Krog Has One Fall Left as a Pop-Up. Here's How It Runs.

"A limited number of brunch weekends left before we close." That line sits at the bottom of LikeMinds' own Funk Brunch page, posted in mid-August. Most new places don't open by telling you they'll be gone. LikeMinds has been saying it from the start. Its homepage still says, plainly, "The pop-up continues through 2026."

That end date matters because of how the room is run now. The concept that moved into 112 Krog Street NE in June started as an open-ended experiment. By October it has a schedule with something set on each day of the week. It has a Monday crowd, a Friday DJ and a weekend brunch. This fall, the biggest room on the Krog stretch of the Eastside Trail runs like a regular neighborhood bar, but on a lease that runs out with the year.

A Big Room That Opened as a Test

The space came open in a hurry. BrewDog left the building in March, and Urbanize Atlanta described the 14,700 square feet it left behind, including 2,700 square feet of patios, as "suddenly vacated." It's one of the largest single rooms next to the trail, inside the Atlanta Stove Works adaptive-reuse building. The rest of The Krog District grew up around it after Asana Partners finished construction in early 2023, on what had been a gravel parking lot and industrial buildings.

The tenant that took it on made no promises about how long it would stay. LikeMinds is led by Kelly Campbell of Westside Motor Lounge, working with Southern Culinary & Creative, Smith's Olde Bar, Frazie's Meat & Market, Bunker Design and other Atlanta partners. Before the doors opened, a project rep told Urbanize that "LikeMinds holds the lease through the end of the year. As the concept approaches 120 days [a trial period], it will assess and potentially continue on based on several factors."

It opened June 18. The June preview promised live music, rotating food and drinks from local restaurants and brands, billiards, bar games and a better setup for watching sports. In practice, that meant trying a little of everything to see what would stick.

August Settled What It Is

The room got simpler by late summer. On August 22, the AJC and Adventures in Atlanta both reported that LikeMinds would stay through the end of the year. Adventures in Atlanta credited a strong opening and a packed World Cup run. It also said the concept was "fully embracing its sports bar status" and setting up as a fall football headquarters.

The equipment backs that up. The room is built around a 16-by-9-foot screen, which the same report calls the largest along the Eastside Trail, with full sound for Atlanta United, SEC football, the Falcons and the World Series. The kitchen grew too. Chef Julian Hower of Phoe Cue added barbecue plates and new appetizers. Smoked wings, Korean barbecue egg rolls, Rockabilly Blues Meatballs and the Frazie's sandwiches stayed on. A new wrap called the Mr. Pink pairs Verlasso salmon with applewood smoked bacon, coleslaw, tomato and sriracha.

The extension runs only to the year-end date already in the lease. Nothing found so far points to a permanent stay or anything past 2026.

The Week, Day by Day

Here's the fall week at LikeMinds, built from the operator's posted hours and the August coverage. The bar is open Monday through Wednesday from 4 to 10 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. The kitchen keeps shorter hours: 4 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.

  • Monday. Service Industry Night with ATL Shuck Boyz, 5 to 10 p.m. Expect oysters shucked to order, Blue Crab Pimento Cheese Dip, Okonomiyaki Hush Puppies and vinyl. Industry guests who show an ID or a recent pay stub get rotating perks.
  • Tuesday through Thursday. Regular hours, with occasional events. Community Over Competition has announced a live event for October 15 after calling an earlier one its "first LIVE at LikeMinds."
  • Friday. DJ Skooter, playing funk, hip-hop, soul and reggae.
  • Saturday. Funk Brunch at noon with rotating DJs, then college football. The venue calls itself "College football HQ every Saturday."
  • Sunday. Funk Brunch again, then NFL games with the sound on. LikeMinds' NFL post says it carries NFL Sunday Ticket, shows Falcons games on the largest screen with sound and runs RedZone on another screen.

Funk Brunch is where the hours disagree. The August feature listed it as noon to 4 p.m. LikeMinds' own site now says noon to 5 p.m. on both days. The menu includes Cinna Guys cinnamon rolls, the Fancy Biscuit & Gravy topped with pulled pork and egg, and the $12 Hollar with bourbon maple sausage, egg, cheddar and house peach jam.

When there's no game on, the room still has plenty to do. The Turn, an indoor golf simulator, is upstairs. There's a pool table, a stage for live music and a dog-friendly patio facing the trail. The drinks list runs from draft cocktails like the LikeMinded and Beltline Confidential to spritzes, NA beers and THC beverages.

"Because the world doesn't need more places to go. It needs more places to belong."

That line is on the LikeMinds homepage. A homepage line is marketing, but the weekly schedule shows they mean it. The schedule assumes guests come back each week, and Monday's industry-only perks only work if the same crowd keeps showing up.

The District Around It Is Still Moving

LikeMinds is the most visible piece of a busy year at The Krog District, and the rest of the district's calendar runs alongside it this fall.

  1. Thursday jazz. The district's free jazz series moved to Thursdays, every other week starting September 3. The calendar listed September 17 and October 1. If that pattern holds, the next dates are October 15 and October 29. That's worth checking against the district calendar before you go.
  2. Fall Fest, Saturday, October 24. Noon to 3 p.m. at 99 Krog St. NE, with a pop-up farmers market, petting zoo, live music and face painting. That puts a family afternoon at the market a few steps from a big college football Saturday next door.
  3. Eggslut, still pending. It was announced in June for a fall opening in SPX Alley, facing the Eastside Trail next to Woof Gang. The district's Eggslut page still says "Opening Soon!" and gives 661 Auburn Ave NE, with no date.

The summer openings show the same kind of turnover. In June, Nando's PERi-PERi took the former Bar Mercado space inside Krog Street Market, next to Superica. YETI took the corner at Krog Street and Lake Avenue that Outdoor Voices used to hold. Across the lane, the old BrewDog space is still billed as a pop-up, so the district's biggest trailside room is the one whose future after December is least settled.

What Happens After December

What happens next hasn't been decided in public. LikeMinds describes itself as a pop-up through 2026. The August brunch post mentions closing, and no announcement found so far extends the run or names a final night. The Urbanize report said the lease runs through the end of the year and that continuing would depend on "several factors."

Until then, the calendar is fixed. Between now and New Year's, every Saturday and Sunday has college or pro football, both weekend days start with Funk Brunch, and every Monday has ATL Shuck Boyz oysters.

If you follow how places like this shape the blocks between Krog Street Market and North Highland, I'm always glad to compare notes on what each opening and lease change means for Inman Park's weekday rhythm. Let's Connect at Sara Harper.
